[The Register - Office workers give away passwords for a cheap pen]

What a scary thought. I cannot see anyone doing this but obviously I am out of touch with reality. A CEO of a company was social enginnered into giving up the password. And this after he said that giving the password could cause problems if he did it.

Christian and Jewish clergy say a billboard that promotes vegetarianism by claiming "Jesus was the prince of peas" is historically inaccurate and sacrilegious.
Who else but PETA could come up with garbage like this. I am getting sick of them. If they are trying to raise awareness of their cause, they are not doing it, they are driving further away the people they want to reach. This is the latest in the stupid stunts catergory.

In the latest press conference regarding the security issues surronunding, newly-hired Micorsoft spokesman Muhammed Saeed al-Sahhaf, reiterated that all security issues have been satisfactorily met in a webcast last Thursday:
"Windows XP is a blessing upon the face of the world. The Linux infidels lie like dogs in a Persian bathhouse when they boldfacedly tell you that Windows XP (R) has security holes. The holes are in their dead, rotting corpses. Windows XP has no faults as befits this blessing from the hands of the most high. I know because I tell the truth"

Well they made it to the playoffs, BUT they have been eliminated. Being a rooter for the Boston teams can be discouraging.
"Susan and I have been listed as traitors, as supporters of Saddam, and various other epithets by the Aussie gossip rags masquerading as newspapers, and by their fair and balanced electronic media cousins, 19th Century Fox." --Actor and peace activist Tim Robbins on the treatment he and partner Susan Sarandon have received since the beginning of the war in Iraq.

Parent who complained of school trip to Hooters sees backlash
Quaas complained to her local school board when the superintendent took 26 seventh- and eighth-graders to the restaurant while in Springfield last month.
Can someone explain what this world is comming to. You see, I cannot understand any reasonable adult saying Hooters is a place to take a group of kids. But then, I guess there are a lot of unreasonable adults out there..Miss Quaas, I salute you for the guts to stand up to the school board, and I am sorry your kids have to take the flack.

The palace inside was a lot less than I was expecting," he said, describing an old-fashioned black and white television in Saddam's bedroom.
"I was in his bedroom about 20 minutes before I got hit," he said. "He had pink sheets."

nbc6.net - Easter - A Passover Primer
Passover commemorates a pivotal event in the history of the Jewish people: the transformation of a group of slaves into a community of free men and women with a common God and unified purpose. It is a holiday about freedom.
For those of us not familiar with the Passover meals as done today, this becomes an intersting read. Especially foor Christians, who can see the deliverance that is celebrated in the Passover, is also clearly celebrated in the Passover.
Homeland Security taps privacy official | CNET.com
A former DoubleClick executive will become the first privacy official at the new Department of Homeland Security, Secretary Tom Ridge said Wednesday.
How ironic can things get. You see Double Click has for years not cared about consumers privacy rights. I guess one who knows what to ignore could be in charge, but to me it smells worse than yesterday's diaper. I have supported the agency cautiously up to now. Now I am not so sure.

[Reuters | Bush Administration Ratchets Up Pressure on Syria ]
Mr. President. With all due respect. I will need to see the smoking gun this time. This is not a campaign to take over the oil rich countries. Yes, apply pressure, but if you invade Syria, I question your motives. Not only I but many Americans will. This will be insanity.

Oklahoma City bombing anniversary this coming weekend
With the war, and the events of 9/11, it is sometimes hard to remember some of our more ancient history. This weekend, please pray for us in the Sooner State. While some will mark this anniversary as a time when terrorism came to the heartland, others will be reminded of loved ones and friends that were lost forever. Having known one of the people who died in the OKC bombing, I fall in the later. It is a different feeling, and it is just a person that I knew as a friend. I cannot begin to comprehend what those who lost family feel. Pray for us here in the heartland.
